REQUIEM

Below are the two final essays to be posted on Allegiance and Duty Betrayed. The first one is written by a friend -- screen name 'Euro-American Scum' -- who, over the past four years, has been the most faithful essayist here. He has written about everything from his pilgrimage to Normandy in 2004 to take part in the 60th–year commemoration of the invasion, to his memories of his tour in Vietnam. His dedication to America’s founding principles ... and those who have sacrificed to preserve them over the past 200+ years ... is unequaled. Thank you, E-A-S. It has been a privilege to include your writing here, and it is a privilege to call you my friend.

The second essay is my own farewell. And with it I thank all of the many regular visitors, and those who may have only dropped in occasionally, for coming here. I hope you learned something. I hope a seed or two was planted. But, even if not, I thank you for stopping by ... 25 March, 2010

A Glimpse into America's Future

Thought for the day:

Agnishka, the au pair who cares for two of my young piano students, is a twenty-seven-year-old Polish gal who holds a magister title (the equivalent of a masters degree) in Economics from Warsaw University, and who is in America working as a nanny, in the hopes of one day being able to remain in America and become a citizen.

Her degree in economics was more or less ‘chosen’ for her by her family and the Polish government because of the way the education system works there. Her passion, instead, is to become a registered nurse.

She cares for the boys during the day and spends her evenings in classes at a local community college, where she is taking courses in public speaking and creative writing, both of which she decided to take in order to perfect her mastery of the English language – although, speaking to her, you would never suspect that English mastery poses a problem. She has a distinct Polish accent, but her use of the English language is superior to that of many native-born Americans.

In short, this is a lovely, extremely intelligent, hard-working young woman seeking to educate herself in order to establish a career in a field for which there is a crying need here in America. She loves America, is embracing our culture, and desperately wants to make a life for herself here.

I asked her tonight whether she will be staying in our community, and with her current American family, when this year runs out. Her response: ‘I have applied for a student visa, but have been told that, because of current conditions, it is uncertain that I will be granted one – and, if I am not, I must go back to Poland.’

It seems to me that Agnishka must reconsider her priorities. To hell with education ... responsibility ... striving for excellence ... work ethic ... assimilating … respecting America ... playing by the rules. A pox on those antiquities!

I suggest that she abandon her dream of wanting to provide legal and caring medical/health care to hurting Americans. The key to her success is to be a part of the growing network of new age entrepreneurs intent on providing illegal drugs to American addicts, by sneaking them into America from the south. And if she can also manage to obtain a superficial flesh wound in the process, and then testify against a Border Patrol agent, citizenship, and immediate entitlement status, will be automatic.

(Gotta remember to tell her that next week.)

We all shake our heads in disgust at this kind of stuff but we're powerless to do anything about it. The ballot box is just a farce anymore. They all promise what they need to promise to get elected and then they all do the same thing. It's over for America.

TJ Bonner, president of the National Border Patrol Council, the union representing border agents, said the Border Patrol's official pursuit policy handcuffs agents in the field. He also sees the prosecution of Ramos and Compean as part of a larger effort by the federal government.

"The pursuit policy has negatively affected the Border Patrol's mission as well as public safety. Part of that mission is to stop terrorists and drug smugglers," Bonner said. "They could be smuggling Osama bin Laden, drugs, illegal aliens, or it could have been just some drunk teenager out on a joyride. You don't know until you stop them."

The administration is trying to intimidate front-line agents from doing their job," he added. "If they can't do it administratively, they'll do it with trumped-up criminal charges.

What a gloomy Gus you are. Haven't you heard that Anna Nicole is going to be allowed to be buried next to her son in the Bahamas? Don't worry, be happy!

This is just additional proof of your thesis described in Celebrity, Bread and Circuses. The inmates are running the asylum.

"playing by the rules"

The 'rules' are applied selectively.

Ask Sandy Burglar.

Ask Johhny Sutton.

Ask 'prosecutor' Fitzgerald.

The US 'court' system

and the US government's selective application of 'rules' are a sicko joke.

US Prosecutors More Interested In Going After US Border Patrol Members Than in Prosecuting Drug Smugglers

So sad.

Most of our leaders are actively working for our destruction, whether it's for the belief in a One World Order, or cheap labor, or personal power, or some other reason. Our leaders don't give a damn about the future of the real America and government has gotten so far out of kilter that there's not a damn thing any of us can do about it anymore. I'll never walk into a voting booth again.

R.I.P. America.

Media Ignore Al Gore’s Financial Ties to Global Warming
by Noel Sheppard March 2, 2007
http://newsbusters.org/node/11149

excerpted :

there are huge dollars to be made from global warming alarmism.

no one is better positioned to financially benefit from this scam than Dr. Global Warming himself, former Vice President Al Gore, a fact that the media will surely not share with Americans any time soon.

Former Vice President Al Gore has built a Green money-making machine capable of eventually generating billions of dollars for investors, including himself,

the US portion is headed up by a former Gore staffer and fund raiser who previously ran afoul of both the FEC and the DOJ, before Janet Reno jumped in and shut down an investigation during the Clinton years.

[H]ow Gore buys his "carbon offsets," as revealed by The Tennessean raises serious questions. According to the newspaper's report, Gore buys his carbon offsets through Generation Investment Management:

Gore helped found Generation Investment Management, through which he and others pay for offsets. The firm invests the money in solar, wind and other projects that reduce energy consumption around the globe..
.
Gore is chairman of the firm and, presumably, draws an income or will make money as its investments prosper. In other words, he "buys" his "carbon offsets" from himself, through a transaction designed to boost his own investments and return a profit to himself. To be blunt, Gore doesn't buy "carbon offsets" through Generation Investment Management - he buys stocks.

So, as Dr. Global Warming travels the world in his private jet while spending 20 times the average American on energy for his home, all the time telling us its okay because he’s buying carbon offsets, he’s actually purchasing these investments from himself.

Furthermore, and maybe more important, Gore stands to benefit financially in a potentially huge way if more and more people buy into this junk science.

Yet, it is not clear that Gore’s money is going to purchase carbon offsets at all.

Here's a list indicating what it takes to make money along with Al. Funds associated with these companies have placed millions of dollars under Al Gore's control.

AFLAC INC - AQUANTIVE INC - AUTODESK INC - BECTON DICKINSON & CO BLACKBAUD INC - GENERAL ELECTRIC CO - GREENHILL & CO INC - JOHNSON CTLS INC - LABORATORY CORP AMER HLDGS - METABOLIX INC - NORTHERN TR CORP - NUVEEN INVTS INC -STAPLES INC - SYSCO CORP - TECHNE CORP - UBS AG - VCA ANTECH INC - WATERS CORP - WHOLE FOODS MKT INC

According to their own documents, GIM intends to invest in, or buy companies poised to cash in on Global Warming concerns.

Putting this in perspective, for years the left and their media minions have posited that George W. Bush started war with Iraq to benefit the company Vice President Dick Cheney used to run, Halliburton, as well as Bush’s oil tycoon friends.

Yet, as the former Vice President continues to plug global warming as a coming crisis in need of immediate attention, the same media completely ignore his obvious financial conflicts of interest.

To add insult to injury, Gore chose Peter S. Knight as the US President of GIM.

Peter S. Knight, formerly Managing Director Met West Financial, lawyer, Chief of Staff for Senator Al Gore (D-TN) from 1977-1989, and Campaign Manager for President Clinton's successful re-election in 1996, is President of Generation U.S.

Atty Gen Janet Reno decided against any further investigation of Peter Knight, Pres Clinton's 1996 campaign manager in connection with office building development in nation's capital; such an investigation could have led to naming independent counsel to look further into activities of Knight, who is also former top assistant to Vice Pres Al Gore.

Thanks to Janet Reno, no one ever found out how $20,000 in stock turned up in an account for Knight's then 13 year old child.

If Gore's motivation in pushing Global Warming is so altruistic, was it really necessarily for the already wealthy Gore to establish a multi-million dollar corporation in England to cash in? And given the history of Gore and Knight, are these people we should trust to drive a re-vamping of the world economy at the same time they're lining their pockets because of our much smaller carbon footprints?

When you add it all up, this is a flimflam of epic proportions:

First, Gore sets up a company that will invest in other companies that will benefit from global warming alarmism

Second, Gore gets some Hollywood types to fund and produce a movie designed to scare the c-c-carbon out of the population

Third, Gore travels the world promoting this movie, while pushing the view that a cataclysm is imminent if the world doesn't immediately act

Fourth, an adoring media falls for the con hook, line, and sinker. Rather than debunking the flaws in the theories, the media promote every word of it while advancing the concept that Gore's views represent those of an overwhelming majority of scientists

Fifth, scared governments and citizens across the globe invest in alternative energy programs driving up the shares of companies Gore's group has already invested in

Sixth, Gore and his cronies make billions as they laugh all the way to the bank at the stupidity of their fellow citizens

Excerpt from the article that Al referenced, "Feds Push Border Patrol Over The Borderline":

When I first wrote about the Compean/Ramos case, it was in the context of my belief that their sentences, 11 years for Compean and 12 years for Ramos, were absurd in light of the fact that the Millenium Terrorist, who was plotting to kill thousands of innocent people, received only a 22-year prison sentence. (I might have also mentioned that Lynne Stewart, a lawyer convicted of aiding terrorists, received only 26 months.)

Kind of makes us proud to be Americans, doesn't it?

Joanie, I know you like Newt in 08. Is there anyone else you would support? Giuliani?

Re: Gore's Generation Investment Management---

Nixon was hounded out of office for doing 1% of the illegal (immoral) stuff that Gore has gotten away with since he was VP.

If this were a Republican he'd be brought up on criminal charges and GIM and everybody involved with it would be in the headlines for months.

Jim, the author of your linked article is right. Our most pernicious enemies are right here within our own borders, many of them sitting in Washington, D.C., claiming to revere the Constitution and vowing to defend our sovereignty, while disdaining both.

3timesalady,

I could comfortably vote for Newt, Duncan Hunter, or Tom Tancredo -- but none of them are officially declared (as yet). Who is on your list of acceptable candidates?
